As of July 3, 2023, Apple’s only assembler, Luxshare, is preparing to make fewer than 400,000 Vision Pro units in 2024.
This is below Apple’s earlier internal sales target of 1 million units in the first 12 months.
However, according to a Bank of America analyst, Apple can make between 250,000 and 400,000 units in 2024.

If the projected 400,000 units sell out instantly, that’s $1.4 billion in revenue. For the scale though, a $1.4 billion-dollar business is around 0.3% of Apple’s annual revenue.
Apple’s market cap to LTM revenue ratio is 7.7x. So, this will easily be a $10 billion category for Apple in 2024.

It will be a U.S. exclusive for quite a while, and produced at fairly low volume. So, we think it will resell at a premium internationally given that there will be worldwide demand.

Let’s say there are only 60,000 launch units of Vision Pro. There are 273 US Apple retail stores. Let’s say they allocate half for online and half for in-store. That’s 30,000 units online and only 109 units per store.
They will have more units at stores in big cities. Some may have even less.
