How to Link Rakuten TV to Google Home
Once you’ve created a Rakuten TV account, use the Google Home app to link it to your Google Home:
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile device and tap the Plus (+) in the upper-left corner of the Home screen.
- Tap Video under Manage Services.
- Tap Link under Rakuten TV.
- Tap Link Account.
- Enter the email address associated with your Rakuten TV account and tap Continue.
- Enter your Rakuten TV password and tap Log In & Link. If you have more than one Rakuten TV profile, you’ll be asked to choose which one to use with Google Home.

Once you’ve linked Rakuten TV account to Google Home, you can use the Google Home app to unlink Rakuten TV from Google Home.
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile device and tap the Plus (+) in the upper-left corner of the Home screen.
- Tap Video under Manage Services.
- Tap Unlink under Rakuten TV.
How to Fix it When Rakuten TV is Not Working with Google Home
If Google Home is not responding to your command to play content on Rakuten TV, then you have to disconnect and relink your Google and Rakuten TV account.
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile device and tap the Plus (+) in the upper-left corner of the Home screen.
- Tap Video under Manage Services.
- Tap Unlink under Rakuten TV.
- Restart the Google Home app.
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile device and tap the Plus (+) in the upper-left corner of the Home screen.
- Tap Video under Manage Services.
- Select Rakuten TV and tap Link Account, then Log in to Rakuten TV.
- Tap Okay to confirm.
How Do I Connect Rakuten TV to Chromecast?
If you want to stream Rakuten TV on Chromecast or any other Google device, all you have to do is connect your Chromecast to the Google App and link your Rakuten TV account. With multiple devices set up, you’ll have to tell Google which screen you want to watch on.
