[Latest Updates] -1 Error Servers at Capacity on Helldivers 2

You just need to wait and try again.

There are only 2 fixes to it.

1. Developers need to increase the capacity of servers to increase the number of concurrent users it can handle.

2. Existing helldivers have to vacate their slot for others to play.

Arrowhead, the game studio behind Helldivers 2, was not expecting such a huge reception for Helldivers 2.

The main problem was that the server couldn’t handle too many players trying to log in simultaneously.

Arrowhead tried to fix this by increasing the server’s capacity and making technical adjustments.

They have a limit on the number of people who can log into the server per minute. It was originally 10,000/min but was increased to 20,000/min.

The total capacity of concurrent players was also increased from 250,000 total to 360,000 total.

However, players still had trouble logging in due to high demand.

Will this issue be fixed immediately? No!

Arrowhead is not a massive AAA developer who can just throw money at the problem and make it go away.

This is a small company of about 100 staff who were expecting about 1/4 of the number of players they’ve gotten (so far!) and set up the server infrastructure for that load.

So we’re gonna see another weekend of “servers at capacity” issues.

If you can’t play this weekend, give it time and you too will experience the glory of managed democracy.
